Amateur Radio license exam test sessions, sponsored by the Tidelands Amateur Radio Society, are held the 3rd Saturday of each month at 501 South Noble Rd. (Stepchenski Real Estate office behind Kelley's restaurant on IH-45 in Texas City). The test session begins at 9:00 a.m.. Walk-in candidates are always welcome but please contact James at aa5oq@tidelands.org to verify that a test session has not been cancelled. The VE testing exam sessions for 2010 are scheduled on January 16, February 20, March 20, April 24, May 15, June 19, July 24, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20, and December 18. Always contact James at aa5oq@tidelands.org to verify that the test session has not been cancelled.
You MUST bring a photo ID (drivers license,
passport) and a copy
of your FCC license or any CSCE(Certificate
of Successful Completion). When no photo ID is available, two
forms of identification must be presented (birth certificate, report
card, library card, Social Security card, utility bill, bank statement,
etc.). Students may bring a school ID, and/or a written note from
a legal guardian. To be prepared you should also bring two number
two pencils with erasers and a pen. A calculator with the memory
erased is allowed. You may not bring any written notes or calculations
into the exam session. Please note that there are no
means of making copies at the test facility.
The test fee is $15.00.
